  If you really care about your family member or loved one you would not or should not place them in this facility. Our mother recently had a stroke, an was placed here. The care was so bad, I could not sleep I was constantly worried about her.the way she was treated an being cared for. Here are just some of the things that took place. 1) she couldn't push call light which in return she wasn't checked on. I once pushed call light for her and it was at least 45 minutes for someone to come. 2) she was never givin anything to drink besides at meals. 3) she was found lying on floor in the middle of the night.nobody could tell us how long she been lying there. 4) we found her lying in bed with soaked pants, sheets, an mattress after she wet herself.5) the rooms where nasty they had a bad oder the bedspreads an curtains looked like they were from a cheap motel. The air conditioner did work right. 6) this place was under staffed 1 cna and 1 nurse on duty on weekends for 40 or more people. 7) the office an higher upps were very rude after finding out we were having her moved else where. So if have to put a member of your family in one of these places, make sure you know all about it

  I was hospitalized in February with Guillain barre syndrome after treatment in Iowa city I came her for rehabilitation. The nurse manager Nicole went out of her way to get me in the facility. After I was admitted the staff was awesome whenever I needed assistance using the restroom or needed anything I didn't have to wait but a few minutes after pressing my call light. The physical therapy and rehab department is excellent they had me up the day starting to rehab. Room was cleaned and bed made for me everyday. Food for the most part was good. I was told when I was discharged from the hospital that I would probably be in recovery for 6-9 months I believe that my stay here helped me recover and return to work in 3 months I would like to personally thank Nicole and Amy for pushing me to get on my feet and start walking and to the rest of the staff thank you so much for taking such good care of me.
